ESC cage for Slash / Stampede VXL-3S speed controllers by RPM

70602 - The RPM ESC Cage is purpose-built to house and offer protection specifically for the Traxxas VXL-3S speed control, in which there are thousands of out there. The reason RPM went ahead with this product was that they saw an obvious need since the VXL-3S ESC only uses two tiny mounting tabs which hold it onto the chassis and they are known to break off. When this happens, it typically leads to some major damage to the vital speed control and it will cost some serious dough to have it repaired.

RPM has vastly improved the mounting method for the VXL-3S ESC by creating a cage to lock it in place. It completely surrounds the case of the ESC and will work even if one or both of the mounting tabs have been broken off. It is composed of two parts. The lower section bolts onto the chassis, then the speed control is positioned on top of it followed by the remaining ‘cage’ that holds the speed control with four bolts.

Tech Notes from RPM: RPM VXL-3S ESC Cages are designed for the Traxxas VXL-3S ESC (Traxxas #3355X) only. While the RPM ESC Cage will fit a variety of applications, they have been tested and only guaranteed to fit the following vehicles in stock form only – Stampede 4x4, Slash 4x4, Slash 2wd & Rally. Also fits the following vehicles as long as Traxxas #3725 Mounting Plate (stock item on VXL models) is used – Rustler, Stampede 2wd & Bandit.
